Double-crossed and badly weakened, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets – a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of the Grisha world.

“Ketterdam is made of monsters. I just happen to have the longest teeth.” – Kaz Brekker😍💞
This book is no less than Six of Crows. In SOC the heist was just a business, but here in Crooked Kingdom it was more personal. The first few chapters were in slow pace but then the story takes off with its thrilling, twists and all. The backstories of the characters had just crushed my heart and their emotions were deeply described. There are chapters that would make you laugh, that would make you cry, that would make you thrilled till the end. For me this book is the mixture of everything.
I feel so much conneted to the characters here than in the first book. Kaz, what shall I tell about him? He is a kind of character who will never make you fail to love him. I love all the other characters too. They are the perfect crew “The Dregs” and I think which made the book reach its peak. I love this book not only for the shrewd thieves characters who can accomplish any task like ANY TASK, but also for them being strong even after facing lots of struggles in their past life. I wish no one suffers like them. If you haven’t read this Duology yet then you are definitely missing something. So do read this stunning book.
