Blurb:
It all begins with a fugitive billionaire and the promise of a cash reward. Turtles All the Way Down is about lifelong friendship, the intimacy of an unexpected reunion, Star Wars fan fiction, and tuatara. But at its heart is Aza Holmes, a young woman navigating daily existence within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.
In his long-awaited return, John Green shares Aza’s story with shattering, unflinching clarity.

“Your now is not your forever “
My review:
The protagonist of this story “Turtles all the way down” is Aza who was a high school student suffered from anxiety disorder and had a supportive friend Daisy. I love the friendship that rise between them.
Daisy was an over speaker whereas Aza was always a listener. Not because she was a reserved type but because she was trapped inside her own mind. Yes! That’s what she thought and I admire the way the author had made us realize how an anxiety disorder person’s mind works. I even afraid about her thought spirals, she sometimes tries to stop herself from the madness that took over her brain but it was extremely hard for her. One can feel the pain she was going through while reading this book.
However, this book is not entirely focused on Aza’s mental illness. Davis, Aza’s childhood friend whose father Russell Pickett, a billionaire, had escaped before he was arrested for bribery. Cops announced that whoever found Pickett would get a reward of Hundreds thousands dollar and Daisy was so much interested in getting the reward. They began investigating and finding clues regarding Pickett meanwhile Aza grows feelings for Davis. So there, this story turns out to be little detective. I really loved the ending of the book which is something really beautiful.
Overall, I loved the book but I think I would love it more if it is mainly focused on Mental illness than the detective part because that is what I expected. I do recommend this book to everyone who love mental health related books.
