My Review:

This book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” is about a little Charlie and his needy family. Unlike “Matilda” (a character from Roald Dahl’s book) Charlie’s family is so much affectionate towards him. Charlie’s state of poverty hurt my heart from the beginning. What I loved the most was that they were a happy family even when they can’t afford a meal a day.

Charlie got a chance to visit the WORLD’S BEST CHOCOLATE FACTORY run by Mr.Wonka along with 4 other children. I love the way Roald had portrayed the characters of the four children. Charlie is a good, obedient and knows how to respect elders. While the other four children were greedy, mischievous, adamant and addicted to electronics, in short, they possess the character a child should not be supposed to have. The fun starts when all the four got into trouble in Wonka’s factory because of their bad side.

I can’t stop loving the Oompa-Loompas, tiny little creatures who would do anything for choco beans. They play a main role in this book as they convey important messages through a song which shows the brilliance in Roald Dahl’s writing. I love all the illustrations and I enjoyed reading this book. This book is the best read for every child because it expresses what quality a child should have.
